MUSIC AT FIRST PRESBYTERIAN:

At First Presbyterian, the role of leading meaningful worship through music has been robust throughout its history. Talented and intent individuals have always provided leadership and direction in bringing the word of God to the congregation through song. We have a rich heritage of worship music. 

 

Today, our service structure strives for thematic worship based on lectionary scriptures, The instrumentals, hymns and musical offerings are intertwined with the sermon and liturgy to communicate God’s word and teachings. An intentional and spirited effort evolves into a worship service with a clear representation of the inspiration and direction that our Savior sends to us. 

 

Terry Edwards is the organizing musician and has been involved at First Presbyterian for over 50 years. He incorporates members of the church and community musicians in each worship service. We are inspired by traditional and contemporary music as well as by original composition.
